This small house was designed for a family of two, with a focus on connection to the landscape, harvesting solar energy, and efficient use of space. Set into the hillside, the home uses cork siding as both insulation and exterior cladding. A green roof extends over the great room, blending the structure into its surroundings while providing additional insulation and habitat. Generous outdoor spaces connect the home to the landscape. Perhaps we will see this one built someday.
